Boswell, Ind - Carl Smiley Fisher, 77, of Boswell, died at 6:45 p.m. Friday (June 6, 1969) at his home. He had been ill several years. Born Sept. 22, 1891 in Nebraska, he was the son of Frank and Rhoda Smiley Fisher. He came to Boswell when he was a small child. He was a graduate of Boswell High. He was a member of the Boswell United Methodist Church and the Boswell Masonic Lodge No 486. He married Ruth Malada on Feb. 4, 1921. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Richard Ham and Mrs. Dwight Reene, both of Lafayette; a brother, Harry of Fowler; a sister, Mrs. Florence Nixon of Danville, Ill; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Richard, who was killed in a tractor mishap on Wednesday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Yuill Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Pedrow officiating. Burial will be in Boswell Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the services. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Masonic services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials may be in the form of contributions to Parkinson's disease fund.
